The Chatham-Kent Black Historical Society & Black Mecca Museum is happy to welcome back visitors.
We are open Monday through Friday 9:00am until 2:00pm.

We do recommend that you try to continue to book your tours as we are still offering virtual tours and presentations that will be taking place in the museum as well as events. We want to ensure that you don’t make a wasted trip and are unable to come in to the museum.

Tour Costs:
Full Tour $6.00
Student/Senior $5.00

All tours include the museum and weather permitting a walking tour of the neighbourhood.

We are closed all holidays including: New Years, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Emancipation Day (Civic Holiday), Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, (typically a week or two over the holiday season).
Any additional closed days and out of office days are always posted on our Facebook Page so be sure to check there as well.

Summer Tours:
July 4th 2022 – August 26th 2022
Tours will be offered Monday through Friday at 10:00am, Noon and 2:00pm start times.
During the summer months drop-in visitors are welcome to come at the tour start times listed above.
