BME Church Organ
This historic organ was rescued out of the BME Church, better known as the Victoria Chapel, before it’s demolition in 1989. The organ is at least a century old, and still stands as a symbol of a church which was a staple for many in Chatham’s black community.
The Slave Box
Located above the Gift shop, this wooden box would be the type of Box many slaves used to escape to Freedom; hiding inside until they reached their destination.
