This case outlines the various obstacles that Blacks in Chatham-Kent had to overcome. It details the fact that, while Blacks were allowed entry into Canada, it was not the safe haven for refugee slaves many people made it out to be. Some of the highlight artifacts in this case include one of John Brown’s guns.
